WELCOME TO LIVING SPRINGS!
“…whoever drinks of the water that I [Jesus] shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water SPRINGING UP into everlasting life.”
ABOUT OUR FELLOWSHIP
WHO WE ARE
Living Springs is a NEW church fellowship that is now meeting in the center of New Jersey right in the heart of Freehold every Sunday at 10 am. We exist to glorify God by seeking to be authentic followers of Jesus Christ who are FULL of His Word, FILLED with His Spirit, and FULFILLING the Great Commission of making disciples who will make disciples. We are a diverse group of people from all different backgrounds who desire to be a family of believers on mission together mutually edifying one other and restoring the lost and weary to Christ. As we daily abide in Him, we seek to overflow with the life of Christ as "living springs" in our local area and beyond by loving and serving everyone who comes into our sphere of influence. We are working in partnership with the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) family of churches and are committed to working together with the wider body of Christ for the sake of the Gospel and the advance of God's kingdom.
To SEE Christ glorified and to pursue an authentic relationship with Him and others. To BE a church functioning as a united, mutually loving, life-giving body. To FREE the living spring in every believer so that we overflow with Christ's mission of making disciples wherever God sends us to the praise of His glory!
AUTHENTIC: real, genuine: not copied or false; that which resembles the original.
In order to fulfill this vision and pursue authenticity, we are committed to:
KNOWING Jesus personally → Our Ongoing Communion with Christ
GROWING in Jesus corporately → Our Active Community as the Body
SHOWING Jesus openly to all → Our Life-giving Commission to the World
The Biblical Pattern for Church Life, Growth, and Multiplication:
[OUR RESPONSE - What we do]
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine (biblical teaching) and fellowship, in the breaking of bread (communion), and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need (practical ministry/giving). So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house (house meetings), they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God (worship) and having favor with all the people (missionary witness).
[GOD'S ABILITY - What He does]
...And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
– Acts 2:42-47
Therefore, we are called to look to Jesus in all things and to focus on the LIFE and GROWTH of every believer leaving the MULTIPLICATION of the church up to God! As we faithfully take care of the QUALITY, we can confidently leave the QUANTITY up to God.
Our ongoing RESPONSIBILITY is: Our RESPONSE to God’s ABILITY.
We desire to see the biblical progression of Ephesians 4:11-16 where Christ's humble servants are equipping the saints for the work of ministry so that believers are mutually edifying one another, growing in maturity, and becoming a reproducing body of disciples who are overflowing with the life and love and mission of Jesus Christ.
CORE VALUES Based on the Totality of Scripture
THE CONTINUAL FEEDING ON THE WORD
THE SINCERE LOVE OF THE BRETHREN
We seek to humbly serve and edify one another toward faith and maturity in Christ, in sacrificial love for all the brethren, seeking to be a blessing to the wider body of Christ, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, for a faithful testimony to the world. (John 13:34-35, 3 John 5, 1 Peter 4:8, John 17:21)
THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF THE BODY
THE OVERFLOWING WITNESS OF CHRIST
THE COMMITMENT TO THE GREAT COMMISSION
We seek to send and be sent with a fearless resolve to live and give the Gospel on mission both locally and abroad until the lost are found, the found are built up, and the bride has made herself ready for the risen Christ - our soon coming King. (Matt. 28:18-20, 2 Cor. 5:18-20, 1 Thes. 1:5, Rev. 19:7)
The Lord set Joey apart from a young age and filled his life with a passion to be wholly devoted to Christ, to preach and teach His Word, and to inspire others to live and give the Gospel by making disciples who will go on to make more disciples. Over the years, Joey has served as a youth pastor, evangelist, and Bible teacher at the original Calvary Chapel in Southern California and also served in the east coast at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge in New Jersey and then answered the call to move overseas to the UK where he planted a Christ-centered, multi-cultural, Bible teaching church in Cambridge, England. After a decade of service, that fellowship is now being led by the national leadership that was raised up within the church and now God has called Joey to plant this church fellowship with the desire to see a fresh work of God springing up toward restoration, biblical discipleship, and compassionate outreach to the lost and weary throughout the central Jersey region. Joey is married to his wife Tiffany and they have three children.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
Jesus Christ is the true God and the true man.(4) He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.(5) He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust,(6) as a substitutionary sacrifice,(7) and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.(8) He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures.(9) He is now at the right hand of Majesty on high as our great High Priest.(10)He will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace.(11)
The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.(15)
Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God:(16) he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature,(17) are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.(18) The portion of the unrepentant and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment;(19) and that of the believer, in everlasting joy and bliss.(20)
Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God.(21)
It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly,(22) being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service.(23) This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion.(24)
Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mortal body.(25) Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the Church in this present age.(26)
The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, (27) which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations.(28) The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.(29)
The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent(32) and will be personal, visible, and premillennial.(33) This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service.(34)
